Important Details On SBI Recruitment For PO, SO And Clerk

The recruitment for all SBI exams is conducted by the State Bank of India and the procedure to appoint candidates at the various posts is also the same. 

There are three major exams which are conducted by SBI to appoint candidates in the largest Public Sector Bank of the country. These posts include:

  1. Probationary Officer
  2. Specialist Officer
  3. Junior Associates (Clerk)

The procedure followed is similar for all exams. It starts with the release of official notification, followed by the online application process, admit card release, exam conduction, result declaration and finally the appointment to different posts.

However, the selection process, syllabus and exam pattern for all the three posts is different. The common aspects include online registration, admit card and result declaration. SBI PO Recruitment

The SBI PO exam is conducted to recruit Probationary Officers in the State Bank of India. The 2020 recruitment is yet to be conducted but for the year 2019, a total of 2000 vacancies were released to appoint Probationary Officers in the various branches of SBI across the country.

Currently, the basic pay of a PO in SBI is Rs. 27,620/- per month and apart from that the perks, benefits and allowances are separate.

This is an annual exam and candidates aspire to join the banking sector at this post. The exam is conducted in three phases:

  • Preliminary Examination
  • Mains Examination
  • Interview and Group Discussions

The exam dates for the same are released along with the official notification. Any candidate between the age of 21 to 30 years with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is applicable to apply for this post.

SBI SO Recruitment

The Specialist Officer exam is held to appoint candidates in Officer Scale I posts for various specialisations like Law, Rajbhasha, IT, HR, etc. The selection process followed for this post mostly comprises Prelims, Mains and Interview stage. However, for the 2020 recruitment, the selection process has been changed.

As per the revised pattern, candidates shall be shortlisted based on their applications and then called in for the Interview for the final shortlisting. More than 400 vacancies have been released to appoint SBI SO for 2020 recruitment.

Apart from the multiple benefits and perks, the basic pay of a Specialist Officer is Rs. 23,700/- per month and eligibility differs based on the specialisation a candidate is applying for.

SBI Clerk Recruitment

The SBI Clerk recruitment is annually conducted to appoint Junior Associates Customer and Sales to the various SBI Branches across the country.

The SBI Clerk basic pay salary is Rs.13075/- apart from other perks and allowances. However, the job responsibilities of an SBI Clerk are many.
