Even if it is kept in a refrigerator it needs to be microwaveable. Strength is an important factor. Quality and quantity matter a lot when it comes to food containers. Plastic Food Containers         

Plastic food containers are the most popular types of containers. This is because of its price and properties. Plastic containers are strong and come with airtight packing. And they also have the potential to preserve food fresh for longer durations.

Glass Food Containers           

Glass food containers can mostly be used to store pickles and other foods that can be preserved for over months. While selecting glass food containers just take care of the glass’s quality. Cheap or low-quality glass containers might not work properly in the long run. So, choose the best quality glass.

Steel Containers        

The only drawback with steel containers is that they aren’t microwaveable. They can be stored in the refrigerator but can’t be microwaved. Even steel containers aren’t preferable to store pickles. This is because of their chemical reactions.

Aluminum     

Last but not least are the aluminum containers. These containers are rarely seen but the aluminum foils are pretty famous to pack foods. These aluminum foils can be used to store food in the refrigerator and are microwaveable but the only drawback with these foils is that they don’t preserve the freshness of the food for longer durations.
